Find Your Talent are funding and supporting an innovative project alongside Leeds Metropolitan University Gallery.
The Young Curators group 2010 will be selecting the Under-18 category of this year’s Open Show at Leeds Art Gallery in August.
This year’s programme includes plans to visit London (including a stop at the Design Museum to meet the Head of Exhibitions Donna Loveday), Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Impressions Gallery in Bradford and Baltic in Gateshead. The trips are all free to participants. Participants will also meet curator Gavin Wade from Eastside Projects in Birmingham and Lizzie Docherty from the Arts Council Collection.
Taking part in Young Curators helps to build confidence, develops skills in public speaking, research, project management and critical writing. It can also provide an invaluable hands-on approach to event management and planning.
