Find Your Talent, the government's pilot cultural offer, has been working with children at Columbia Primary School on the ‘Dynamic Changes Project’ which aims to introduce Year 2 pupils to the basics of music making, composition, singing and percussion. Tutors from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama have been working with eight local schools this term and pupils involved from each school will compose a piece of music over six weeks, which they will perform with Guildhall musicians at a concert at Hackney Round Chapel in March.
Managed nationally by the new organisation Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE), the Find Your Talent ([LINK:21|CAPTION:www.findyourtalent.org]) programme ensures that all children and young people have access to the wide range of quality and sustained cultural experiences they deserve, both in and out of school.
Find Your Talent Tower Hamlets is one of the 10 pathfinders selected for the pilot programme.
