The Minister met young people who have been involved in the Liverpool pathfinder project over the past year and representatives from some of the key cultural organisations and Local Authorities involved to hear about the ways in which young people were being engaged.
Speaking of his visit , Secretary of State Ben Bradshaw MP, said:
“I really enjoyed meeting young people in Liverpool from Find Your Talent to help mark the programme’s first birthday. I know, from speaking to those across England who have got involved, that we are seeing some truly original ways in which young people are getting engaged in culture. From curating exhibitions to street dance performance, there’s a wide variety of activity, but the same clear evidence of talent in our young people.
"I look forward to hearing about the results of these pathfinders next year, and working with the cultural community to build on the programme’s success.”
