On Sunday 21st September, Culture Secretary Andy Burnham saw 100 children and a quintet from the Hallé Orchestra collaborate for a 20-minute performance to mark the launch of the Find Your Talent initiative.

The children came from five schools in Bolton to perform with players from Britain’s longest-established symphony orchestra.
Find Your Talent is an initiative to give children and young people the chance to try out different cultural activities. It's about helping them to discover new things, to express themselves, to develop a passion and to make the most of their talent. Whether it is music, art, film, theatre, dance, digital media, exploring libraries, museums, archives or heritage, Find Your Talent is for every child and young person, whatever their age and whatever their ability.
The children from Bolton are from Chorley New Road Primary School (38 strings), Claypool Primary School (16 harps), High Lawn Primary School (18 brass), Lord Street Primary School (10 drums) and St George's CE Primary School (30 clarinets).
Find Your Talent is being piloted in 10 pathfinder areas across England and offers children and young people regular involvement with arts and culture both in and out of school. Find Your Talent is funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Department for Children, Schools and Families, Arts Council England and the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council.
